The AJ Bell Great North Run is the world’s biggest and best half marathon, with 60,000 runners taking on the route from Newcastle to South Shields each year. It’s famous for its inclusive atmosphere, unbeatable route-side entertainment and warm Geordie welcome, not to mention the millions of pounds raised each year for worthy causes. Great North Run magic can be hard to understand – until you’ve experienced it for yourself.

Support Dogs has places in the 2026 Great North Run. This is an amazing opportunity to take part in this world-famous race along with 60,000 determined and dedicated runners.

Take on the Great North Run for Support Dogs, and you will join a team of people who are striving to transform the lives of people living with the most challenging conditions. We will support you the whole way through your fundraising journey to help make your challenge a success!

All runners will receive a personalised Support Dogs running vest, and we can also provide one of our dog suits to those feeling extra adventurous!
