Lynn's story

After being diagnosed with Epilepsy following a head injury, Lynn needed to take back control over her seizures and her life. That's when she discovered Support Dogs.

Lynn has been working with Support Dogs for over 20 years, finding her first life-saving partnership in Dougal the labrador - later followed by Simba. 

As a huge Manchester City fan Lynn never missed a match at the Etihad, which is why Simba was specially trained to attend football matches with his partner - and even had his very own season ticket.

When it was time for Simba to Retire too, Lynn began her journey with the amazing Barnby, and they've recently qualified as a fully fledged seizure alert dog partnership. Where Simba, now 12, had been trained by Support Dogs to give Lynn a 100 per cent reliable, 24-minute alert to an oncoming seizure, enabling her to get to the first aid room to have her seizure in safety and privacy, three-year-old Labrador Barnby gives Lynn 29 minutes!
