School Speaker What do we need We are a small, growing charity, with an amazing story. We need your help to tell that story and reach more people. We are looking for vital school speakers to deliver small group talks and school assemblies to children from nursery age to A-level. Talks and assemblies include an introduction to our work, disability, charity and of course dogs! We also offer small group sessions in schools with one of our dogs. Primarily, we work in primary and secondary schools. If you have a specific age range that you’d prefer to speak to, we’d happily accommodate this. As well as promoting the charity, our speakers also help raise much-needed funds and encourage others to do the same. What we would need from you You need to be a confident speaker and happy to stand in front of children of different ages and sizes to get them interested in the work we do. To be interested in our work and also keen to help children understand how our dogs transform lives. For most visits, we will arrange for a dog or puppy in training to attend the school with you. Live in the vicinity to Sheffield as this is where the majority of our schools talks are arranged. What we will provide Full training will be provided including the opportunity to shadow an experienced speaker and also be shadowed for your first talk. The presentation on a memory stick plus any resources you may need. We will arrange all talks for you and be the point of contact for the school. We’ll provide all the details you need before your talk.
