Daredevil gran to take the plunge for Support Dogs

Chris Low, a spirited 76-year-old retired vicar, is defying her age with an audacious act: a 90ft abseil drop from Millers Dale Bridge in the Peak District.

Her mission? To support us!

The money she raises will directly aid the training of life saving assistance dogs for those with autism, epilepsy, and physical disabilities.

No stranger to adventure, Chris believes age is just a number. Her past exploits include zip trekking in New Zealand at 70 and whitewater rafting in Tennessee in her 60s. 

Chris's involvement with Support Dogs spans around a decade, during which she has fostered 16 dogs for us, currently Mackay, and previously former pup Dug, who recently qualified as an autism assistance dog. Her dedication to the cause extends beyond fostering, as she actively raises awareness for our life changing work through talks and support initiatives.

As she prepares to descend into mid-air, cheered on by family and supporters, Chris embodies courage and compassion, proving that age is no barrier to making a difference.
