About Us National Centre Appeal Benefits for service users We are building the UK’s only national centre for training epilepsy seizure alert dogs. We will also be able to continue our pioneering work training life-changing autism assistance dogs and disability assistance dogs. This specialist facility, based centrally in the UK, will enable us to grow and significantly develop the work we began over 32 years ago and that already saves the NHS at least £35 million a year. This new centre will be a step change in the numbers of families we can help each year. It will enable us to significantly increase our capacity for creating MORE new support dog partnerships each year, from approximately 20 to over 60 new partnerships a year. This represents an estimated increase of 300% on impact, that will not just save lives, but will significantly improve the qualify of life of families across the UK, reducing pressure on the NHS and social services. This Includes: Family rooms To enable families to meet their support dog for the first time and bond with them. It will also provide privacy for discussions regarding the application process.
